Color Guard Judge Coordinators
We are happy to have Mike Stone and Robert Solomon, both accomplished in the instruction and adjudication in the color guard activity join us as color guard judges coordinators! Mike’s responsibility this season will be to set the color guard panels and Robert’s responsibility will be to strengthen the development and growth of the color guard educational philosophy, judges training and accountability as well as supervise classification and growth of the SJVCGPR color guard ensembles.
–Mike Stone has been adjudicating various pageantry competitions for 17 years. He attributes his interest in pageantry to his high school music and marching band program. Mike has studied and taught in several different music programs in California. He was drum major for two years at Agoura High School and was also a member of the drum line at San Diego State University in 1989. Mike is a co-founder of the Marching Band Open Series (MBOS) in Southern California established in 2006. MBOS was the first series of contests to be judged using digital recordings. Mike is honored to be a part of the next digital wave of e-Adjudication!
